Northern Residents Struggle in the Grips of Winter Chill
Trees covered with frost on the mountains of Mau Son, in the northern province of Lang Son (bordering China).In Mau Son, Lang Son Province, the temperature reached to a low of -4°C, while in Ha Noi the morning temperatures were 9°C. This kept many kindergartens and primary schools closed. Northern Vietnam is continuing to deal with a cold snap. The winter weather has sent many people to hospitals and killed hundreds of livestock this year.
