Vietnamese – Canadian photographer Viet Huy Lam has just debuted his special portrait paintings made of thousands of letters and words.

The works look like they’ve been painted or drawn with pencil or charcoal, but they’re made with entirely different colored words.
For each painting, he chooses a word or a phase related to the painting and writes his thought about it in the caption.
The 40-year-old artist has done text-based portraits of other notables including US President Obama with the word “Hoped” and the South Africa former President Nelson Mandela with the text “My hero”.
