Hanoi traffic police were out in force from 7am on February 11 to enforce safety helmet (mũ bảo hiểm) laws on all roadways. Here are photos of motorbike drivers caught without helmets.

Some tried to avoid police by turning their vehicles around and going the opposite way, while others tried to speed their way past police.

In Vietnam all motorbike drivers must wear safety helmets or face fines if caught by traffic police.
